How can I complete the class?

TummySafe© is an online course.  The online course costs $25 (order online with a credit card) and is completed on your computer and at your own pace.  Participants are awarded 6 contact hours once they finish the online course. You must pass the TummySafe© exam with at least 80 percent to be certified. The exam costs $100.

I’m done with the online curriculum. Am I certified TummySafe© now?

No, not yet. You must still pass the TummySafe© exam with a score of at least 80 percent in order to be certified. You may order a TummySafe© exam using a credit card.

Once exam payment is received, your local proctor will call to schedule an exam date and time. Most exam dates can be scheduled within 30 days of exam payment, often within 2 weeks of payment.

When will I get my test results?

Exam results are usually sent out within 2 weeks of test date.

MISSISSIPPI STATE -- Two Mississippi State University Extension Service professionals were recently honored by the National Extension Association for Family and Consumer Sciences for their work in the early childhood field.

Jenna Schilling, Extension associate, and Natasha Haynes, Extension agent in family and consumer sciences, won the national Early Childhood Child Care Training Award for the TummySafe program, a food certification course for child care providers.
