Are greenhouse tomatoes a good business for me?

The success of a grower of greenhouse tomatoes depends entirely on the management skills of the grower. This is a business which requires daily attention to insure that all equipment is working properly (fans, vents, irrigation emitters, heaters, etc.) and that there are no invasions of insect or disease pests. However, the industry has expanded in Mississippi from 15 growers to 135 growers between 1988 and this year. Mississippi is ranked 11th in the U.S. in greenhouse tomatoes.
