Sustainability Training in Agricultural Resources Systems (STARS) & Mississippi Land Stewards Training

The Spring 2022 STARS & Mississippi Land Stewards training will be held at Prairie Wildlife near West Point, Mississippi on May 3 & 4, 2022. This two-day training will begin at 1:00 pm on May 3rd, 2022 and commencing at 5pm on the first day. The STARS training will cover current agricultural sustainability topics and how to facilitate conservation adoption and delivery at local levels. Day two will begin at 8:00 am on May 4th, 2022 with coffee and breakfast snacks before we dive into hands-on learning of soil and water resource assessments that can be used with clients as we tour watershed conservation practices. The workshop will wrap up by 12pm and boxed lunches will be provided. Travel and lodging expenses are eligible for full reimbursement for a limited number of registrants on a first-come basis.

This event is an in-service training for Extension Agents AND a professional development opportunity for Agriculture and Natural Resource Professionals external to MSU (NRCS, MDWFP, SWCDs, CCAs, etc.).
