The Wildlife and Fisheries Extension program provides the link between the information developed by sound research and the ultimate end-users who will use that information in the wise management and utilization of wildlife and fisheries resources.
As part of the Mississippi State University Extension Service and the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Aquaculture, with offices in all 82 of Mississippi's counties, we are able to deliver information in a timely and efficient manner to the citizens of Mississippi, the nation, and the world.
Extension's program delivery system enables us to quickly reach the land and resource base that supports wildlife and fisheries management and utilization. Each county extension office is literally an extended field office for dissemination of resource information and communication between land owners, managers and users, and our department.
These Wildlife and Fisheries web pages have been developed to address many of the common questions and concerns expressed regarding wildlife and fisheries issues. If, after examination of these pages, you still have questions in the area of wildlife and fisheries, please contact your county extension office
