What is TummySafe©?
TummySafe© is a food certification course for childcare providers.
Who can complete the TummySafe© program?
Only childcare providers are allowed to take the course.
How can I complete the class?
TummySafe© is offered as a traditional class and as a nontraditional, self-paced CD tutorial. The traditional class costs $100 and takes one day to complete. The CD version costs $25 (use the paper form or order online with a credit card) and is completed at home and at your own pace. Either way, you must pass the TummySafe© exam with at least 80 percent to be certified TummySafe©. If you use the CD tutorial, the exam costs $100.
I know I want to take the traditional class. What should I do?

Take TummySafe© online!!!
For $25, you will be emailed a link to the course and 3 login accounts to TummySafe(C) online. You can complete the course on computer and Android phones but it is NOT compatible with IPhones or IPads.

Most CD orders are shipped the day they are received. Multiple participants can use the same CD for 6 contact hours each whether they complete the exam or not.
I’m done with the CD tutorial. Am I certified TummySafe© now?
No, not yet. You must still pass the TummySafe© exam with a score of at least 80 percent in order to be certified. You may order a TummySafe© exam using a credit card or you may request a TummySafe© exam using a money order or certified check. Send $100 money order or certified check per person to

Make money order or certified check out to School of Human Sciences. Be sure to include all your contact information, including phone numbers and the county where you would like to take your exam.
Once exam payment is received, your local proctor will call to schedule an exam date and time. Most exam dates can be scheduled within 30 days of exam payment, often within 2 weeks of payment.
When will I get my test results?
Exam results are usually sent out within 2 weeks of test date.
I’m in a hurry. Can I order the CD and register for the certification test at the same time?
Yes. You may pay for both the CD and the exam with one money order for $125 when you order the CD. The local proctor will call you to set up an exam date when your CD is mailed to you.
I’m an Extension agent, and I’d like to add a TummySafe© class to the schedule. How do I do that?
