Location Summary |
Because of excessive rains early, phytophythora root rot destroyed several susceptible varieties in the four row plots. In order to obtain yield and maturing data on those varieties, two row plots were planted next to the four row plots, which have not been harvested due to excessive rain. The test plots were sprayed once with pounce at 0.5 lb per acre for potato leaf hoppers. Varieties with smooth leaves showed more damage from the potato leaf hopper than those with a hairy leaf.
