Location Summary

Adequate moisture was received within a week of planting for germination of trial plots. Moisture and temperature were sufficient in May and early June for normal growth of plants. A rain in mid June carried test plots to early July. After adequate rain was received the first week of July, weather conditions deteriorated the balance of the season, with conditions becoming hot and extremely dry from mid July throughout August and September. This caused extreme stress on all varieties.

Precision of the data from this study is low as per high CVs and low R2. Extremely low yields are indicative of uncontrolled stress that occurred and negated the measurement of true varietal differences; therefore, data should be viewed accordingly.
