Location Summary

We had an excellent stand, and growing conditions were favorable in the first part of the growing season. High temperatures were predominate in late July and August. Rainfall was close to normal during the growing season, but it was not timely, especially during the pod-fill period. July rainfall was 30% below normal with only a 0.10 inch occurring from July 11th through the 26th. August rainfall was above normal, but 74% came before August 6th, leaving the end of August and the first part of September. In this time period from August 8th through September 16th, rainfall total was 1.79 inches that occurred in seven rainfall events, with six of the events being less than 0.5 inch. Therefore, overall yields were below average.
