Weather Summary

Adequate moisture at planting resulted in good emergence and growth of all maturity groups. Excessive rainfallin June and July did not appear to affect pod set and pod fill. The above average rainfall resulted in increased weed pressure and subsequent above average herbicide usage. Weed control in the plot area was excellent. Aerial Web Blight was observed in most varieties in all maturity groups, but severity was low due to low rainfall during August. Dry conditions during September and early October allowed for timely harvest of all maturity groups.
