Ideal planting conditions allowed rapid emergence of all varieties. The months of May and June were very stressful months on soybean growth and development due to below normal precipitation for a period of 30-40 days followed by a 10-day period of excessive rainfall. Timely rainfall during mid-August and September allowed soybeans to fully recover from the early season stress. Overall, this was a pretty good year for growing and harvesting soybeans.
