PERFORMANCE OF CLOVER AND LESPEDEZA
White clovers were evaluated in three test at Mississippi State. There were no significant differences in total yield of 11 varieties planted in fall of 1994 or in the nine varieties planted in fall of 1992 (Tables 13 and 14). The highest yield produced by varieties planted in fall of 1993 were produced by two experimenatal lines, SRVR and RS C3-27 with yields of 9,547 and 8,022 pounds per acre (Table 15). Six varieties of lespedeza were evaluated at Prairie and two varieties with the highest yield were Serala and Interstate 76, with yields of 6,449 and 6,076 pounds per acre (Table 16). There were no significant differences in yield produced by 14 varieties of annual clovers at Poplarville (Table 17).
