Weather Summary
Near ideal conditions existed at planting. However, over seven inches of rain
fell during the following week slowing germination and stand establishment.
April and May were drier than normal thus allowing a timely nitrogen supplement
and herbicide application. Ample rainfall combined with moderate temperatures
in June and July produced excellent plant growth and grain development. August
was hot and dry facilitating the dry-down period. Overall, an excellent year.
