Commercial Nursery Safety
Commercial nursery workers constantly face safety challenges. These safety challenges can often be categorized into the three “E’s” of nursery worker safety: Ergonomics, Environment, and Equipment.
- Ergonomic threats include things like repetitive motion injuries to the hands and wrists, and back injuries due to improper lifting techniques.
- Environmental threats include loud noises that may cause long-term hearing damage, and exposure to chemicals that may be harmful to your eyes and body.
- Commercial nurseries require the use many pieces of large and small equipment. Failure to safely use this equipment could cause injury to the worker.
