Web survey measures ag biosecurity needs

MISSISSIPPI STATE -- Mississippi agriculture and horticulture producers are invited to comment on biosecurity issues that might affect their farming operations.

A web-based survey, conducted from September through November, will help the Mississippi State University Extension Service determine what educational programs it should offer. To take the survey, producers should log on to the Extension Disaster Education Network web site at http://www.agctr.lsu.edu/eden/HS_Surveys.htm and click on "Survey of Ag and Horticulture Producers."

EDEN in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Agriculture developed the survey to identify homeland security educational programming needs expressed by farmers.

The survey is anonymous and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Producers can take the survey anywhere there is web access including home, libraries, county Extension offices and other available locations.
