VERONA
-- Garden and landscape enthusiasts can find answers to all
their gardening questions at the upcoming North Mississippi
Garden Expo from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sept. 28. in Verona.
The
annual event at the North Mississippi Research and Extension
Center on Highway 145 will enable visitors to see how well
various fruits, vegetables, flowers and other plants grow in
north Mississippi. Plant doctors will be on hand to diagnose
problems and to identify unknown plants brought to the
expo. Visitors
can tour the Magnolia Botanical Gardens, and children will
enjoy the "Pizza Farm," which teaches people where pizza
products come from. Gardening demonstrations and seminars
will introduce visitors to the art of gardening bonsai,
managing for backyard wildlife, creating crafts from garden
products and propagating plants. Mississippi
State University's Extension Service and the Mississippi
Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station are sponsoring
the North Mississippi Garden Expo. For
