Emmetsburg, Iowa.  Making ethanol from the starch in corn kernels is controversial. Ethanol supporters say ethanol is the best way to reduce American dependence on unstable sources of foreign oil. POET, the nation's biggest producer is embracing the next-generation of ethanol production by converting corn cobs, leaves and stalks into fuel. Known as "corn stover," Market to Market's David Miller says the company is building a commercial scale cellulosic ethanol plant in Iowa.
