Top Extension Service and MAFES Employees honored in Mississippi Farmweek - November 12, 2010 |
| The top employees for the Mississippi State University Extension Service and the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Experiment Station were honored last week in Starkville. The annual awards are supported and presented by Southern Ag-credit and the Mississippi Land Banks. The awards were presented during the annual meeting of the Mississippi State University Extension Service which included entertainment from the "southern sounds" a Mississippi 4-H music group. The "Outstanding MAFES Worker Award" went to Dr. Wes Schilling. The food scientist was honored for his research, teaching, and working with graduate students. Susan Cosgrove, the Newton County Director for the MSU Extension Service was honored with the "Outstanding Extension Service Worker Award." Cosgrove is known for her work in teaching everyday financial management skills to adults and young people.
