Newton, Mississippi.  Young people got to investigate the great outdoors in a fun and educational environment at the second annual wildlife festival held at Newton. Mississippi State University’s Extension Service and Natural Resource Enterprises units hold the event to get young people interested in nature and wildlife. The young people took part in outdoor recreation using equipment "made" with items from nature. The festival was held at the msu’s coastal plain branch experiment station. Farmweek's Amy Taylor reports.
