MS Tree Farmer of the Year started

Farmweek - October 30, 2009
The Mississippi Forestry Association named Julian Watson of Jackson as its 2009 "Outstanding Tree Farmer of the Year" October 29.  Watson's face is a familiar one to long-time Farmweek viewers. Farmweek was there in the winter of 1984-85 when he first began to plant pine trees on his family's land in Holmes County. Watson admits to knowing little about trees when he started the tree farm, but he did his homework and decided trees were the way of the future.  Reporter:  Artis Ford
