BOLL WEEVIL
QUARANTINE SET FOR REGION 1-A IN JANUARY - Growers in Tunica,
Quitman, Sunflower, Leflore and Tallahatchie (Delta portion) Counties
will have to pay the cost of keeping weevils from their area reinfesting
the regions already in the maintenance phase of the boll weevil eradication
program. Costs are expected to exceed $15 per acre and movement of cotton
and cotton equipment will be restricted. |
