Offiical count shows maintenance referendum passed in Region 1-B (Bolivar, Coahoma, & Washington Counties).
    Ford PHILLIPS TO FACE SPELL - Max Phillips of Taylorsville is certified as the winner of the Republican runoff with 50.3% of the vote (winning margin of 448 votes) over Roger Crowder of Louisville. He will face Democrat Lester Spell and Reform Party candidate Bob Claunch of Diamondhead.
