Feed and Forage Testing
Mississippi producers have two choices within the Mississippi State University system to get feedstuffs analyzed. The first is the Mississippi State Chemical Laboratory at Mississippi State University. Sample Submission Forms along with forage test kits are available from local county agents or from the Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences.
The other choice is the Southeast Research Forage Laboratory. The address is P.O. Box 567, Franklinton, Louisiana 70438. Telephone is 504-839-2322.
There are certain private feed companies that provide free feed and forage analyses. Contact your local feed dealer.
