Ornamental & Tree Diseases

My hybrid tea roses really did great the first year, but I've had constant problems since then. What do you think my problem is?

Probably your roses are affected by black spot (rose "public enemy number one"), a fungus disease which affects the ability hybrid tea roses to produce a quality bloom crop. Defoliation also makes the plants weaker and more susceptible to winter injury as well. If you want your rose garden to be the envy of the neighborhood, refer to a Plant Pathology Infobyte for details on how to control black spot on roses.
