Ornamental & Tree Diseases Why did the disease symptoms appear to get worse after I sprayed my cherry laurel with a fungicide for leaf spot control? Remember, fungicides prevent infection. After you spray, new symptoms may appear because your plant became infected before a fungicide was applied. If the disease you are concerned about takes 10 days from infection to symptom expression, it will take 10 days for you to notice a slowing down in disease progress as infections occurring prior to spraying will continue to develop into disease. |
