Making a picture frame

Materials

¨ Variety of colors of construction paper

¨ Glue/Tape

¨ A piece of thick paper (or card board cut to paper size)

¨ Picture of child

¨ Scissors

Activity:

¨ The children will tear the construction paper into small pieces

¨ Cut the thick paper or board in half. One side will be the frame. Use the other as the prop to glue or tape to the back of the frame when done (you may need to cut this piece a little shorter for the frame to stand correctly).

¨ The children will glue the pieces of paper onto the outside box of the frame.

¨ The children will glue their picture in the middle of the frame.

Display them in the room for a couple of weeks and then allow them to take them home for display.
