Diapering

Diapers have to be changed many times a day, but changing diapers often helps to keep the child from getting diaper rash. Changing diapers is often hard for caregivers to do, because they have other children to watch. It helps to follow simple steps in changing diapers.

Steps to use when changing a diaper:

1. Get all the supplies together.

· Diaper
· Wipes
· Diaper rash ointment
· Gloves

2. Wash your hands.

3. Clean the changing surface with bleach solution.

4. Remove the dirty diaper.

5. Wipe the baby.

6. Apply the fresh diaper.

7. Throw the dirty diaper away.

8. Wash hands again.
