Snack Ideas

Cooking is very important in the development of children. It lets them use their senses to learn about different foods, to be creative with food, and introduces them to healthy eating. Cooking teaches children about science, math, and reading by measuring ingredients and following a recipe. Cooking also helps children develop physical skills such as kneading dough and mixing. Cooking also gives children a sense of good self-esteem by seeing and tasting the results of their work. It is a good idea to that you explain to the children what they are to do so that they can learn from this activity.

When allowing children to help you cook, make sure that they do not handle sharp objects such as knives, cheese slicers, and graters. Also, do not allow them to do anything near the oven. This will prevent them from getting burned. It is best to give them something easy to do such as kneading dough, stirring batter, or washing vegetables.

Snacks can be nutritious and fun during anytime of the day. When creating snacks for your children, make sure that they do not have allergies to any of the foods that you are preparing. Below is a list of tasty snacks that you and your children can have fun making.
