Master Health Education Volunteer
What is a Master Health Education Volunteer?
Master Health Education Volunteers (MHEV’s) are individuals who have completed specialized training in a specific area in order to provide education and service to their communities. Several categories of MHEV’s have been created depending on the particular training and targeted audience. Currently, we have four categories of volunteers. The first category, Generalist, requires an extensive training period of three days, while the remaining three categories, Smart Aging Healthy Futures Volunteers, Healthy Lifestyle Volunteers, and Combating
Cancer Volunteers are taught in one day sessions. The curriculum includes educational information about specific health topics, leadership and communication skills.
