Health & Nutrition:
Chronic Disease

What is chronic disease?

Chronic diseases are those that have symptoms that come and go. They can get better or worse very quickly. They cannot generally be cured, but an individual can often minimize the negative effects of a chronic disease through sane, healthy living and medical treatment. Most chronic diseases occur as a result of a complex interaction of genetics, environment, and the habits of the individual. They include health problems such as heart disease, asthma, diabetes, and hypertension.
