DELTA FUTURES

Delta Futures is an exciting, informative, fun-filled opportunity for 7th grade middle school children to learn about careers in health care. Two-day weekend camps, directed by Missisippi State University Extension service, are held to implement the program. Children selected to participate in the program must live in one of the following Mississippi Delta counties:

Delta Futures provides

• A look at the many career opportunities in the field of health care
• An opportunity to explore your personal career interests
• Experience by participating in a community health project
• Activities that help you better understand and make healthy choices in your own life
• Leadership training
• A chance to make new friends, have fun, and take a peek at your possible future

The cost of attending Delta Futures, including meals and lodging, is paid for through a grant provided by the Delta Health Alliance. There is no charge to the selected campers.
