Can I control moss in my yard?
Mosses occur in areas of low pH, low sunlight, compaction, and excess moisture (may be poor internal drainage). Correct these conditions, follow recommended turf management practices, and the mosses should disappear. While there are several fatty acid based chemicals available that will kill moss, these weeds will return if the conditions indicated above are not corrected.
