If you or your organization may have interest in this effort, please contact us. _______________________________________________________________ Foundation Rice Seed Grower Production Criteria: Most preferred status will be given to a grower who is outside the Delta rice growing area and has no past rice production history. The remaining criteria below apply to growers within the Delta region.  Essential: Adequate physical resources, (proper land slope and soil type, dependable water source, field equipment, grain bins, and labor). No history of red rice problems, (in previous field or equipment). Strong commitment to field roguings at multiple intervals throughout the crop reproductive phase.  Strong commitment to maintaining near total weed control.  (This greatly contributes to the visibility necessary in roguing) Preferred: Knowledge and experience in modern rice field production practices. Knowledge of seed certification practices. No other current rice field production.
