We are ready to begin our Field and Stream practices and trainings.
Our Southwest District Contest is planned for April 26, 2008 at the Law Enforcement Training Academy in Pearl.
All participants are required to have completed 8 hours of training each year in each discipline in which he\she is going to complete. Youth must also complete in at least 2 club, county, or multi-county contests prior to the district events.
We will begin our contest trainings Friday, February 22, 2008, at 4:00 p.m., at the Extension Conference room. This will be our Safety Training. Also, we will sign up for various trainings in various disciplines.
We also, have a Hunter Education Class planned for March 18th, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and March 19th, 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., at the Extension Office. Attendance at both classes is mandatory. According to Hunter Education Certification Guideline, at person must be at least 10 years of age to be certified in Hunter Education.
Hunter Education Certification is encouraged by the 4-H Field and Stream Program, but is not mandatory.
