Scoring

Contest judging shall consist of:

Junior Age Level
Identify 10 crop and weed seed on Extension Form 118, 4-H Seed Identification card. All seed names must be spelled correctly and writing must be legible. 100 points
Judging three classes of seed crops on Extension Form 672, 4-H Judging Contest Placing card. Crops will consist of either soybean, cotton, small grains (wheat, oats, or rye), small seeded legumes (clovers, vetch, or wild winter peas) or corn. 300 points
Take an examination of true/false and multiple choice questions 100 points
Senior Age Level
Identify 20 crop and weed seed on Extension Form 118, 4-H Seed Identification card. All seed names must be spelled correctly and writing must be legible. 100 points
Judging three classes of seed crops on Extension Form 672, 4-H Judging Contest Placing card. Crops will consist of either soybean, cotton, small grains (wheat, oats, or rye), small seeded legumes (clovers, vetch, or wild winter peas) or corn. 300 points
